San Francisco stands tall as a City of diversity and respect that values community service. Likewise, its police officers are held to the highest standards of selflessness and humanity.

San Francisco police officers willingly reach into their pockets for worthy causes such as holiday toy drives; and volunteer their precious time at charitable events like Special Olympics. Additionally, officers routinely spend their hard-earned money to buy extra tools that help them better serve their Community.

In appreciation of the selfless efforts of San Francisco police officers, City stakeholders established the San Francisco Police Foundation in 2011 to help the officers strengthen their ties to our Community.

The San Francisco Police Foundation is a benevolent, fund-raising 501(c)(3)organization. The Foundation is a non-profit entity managed by a board of directors whose membership consists of Community volunteers.
